Marine geophysical data processing

Process more.
Deliver faster.
Stay in control.

Marelia by Hidrocibalae is a production-proven automation platform for offshore processing teams - reducing repetitive work, increasing processing capacity, and keeping expert judgement where it matters most.

The bottleneck

Every offshore team hits the same wall.

A significant part of marine geophysical processing is repetitive, rule-based and time-consuming. Too much expert time is spent on work that doesn't require expertise - reducing the capacity available for quality control and the critical decisions where expertise makes the difference between processed data and a trusted result.

01

Growing data volumes

Larger datasets continuously increase the processing workload.

02

Repetitive processing

Manual, time-consuming tasks put pressure on team capacity and delivery.

03

Limited expert capacity

Experienced processors are hard to scale without risking consistent quality.

04

Rising costs and lost competitiveness

Growing workloads mean higher costs, longer delivery and lost competitiveness.

The Marelia approach

Automation handles the repetitive. Your experts focus on what matters.

Marelia removes repetitive, rule-based processing from the workflow, freeing experienced teams to focus on validation and the work where human expertise remains essential.

What Marelia changes

Significantly faster processing

Automation handles repetitive processing and routine interpretation.

More processing capacity

Process larger datasets without increasing headcount.

Higher, more consistent quality

Less variability between processors, with less room for error than manual clicking.

More value from expert time

Your experts focus on validation, complex interpretation and decisions.

Lower project costs

Higher efficiency across the workflow reduces overall project costs.

Automation at scale. Expertise at the core.

Platform capabilities

The central place for marine processing automation.

Marelia brings marine processing automation into one central environment - combining specialised tools, structured workflows and operational visibility while fitting alongside the software your team already relies on.

150+ automation tools. One platform.

Access specialised marine processing tools designed to reduce manual work and accelerate project delivery.

Everything in one place

Organised by module and purpose, so tools are easy to find and access.

Always up to date

Updates are managed centrally, with no manual version handling required.

Consistent by design

A shared interface makes tools easier to learn, navigate and use across workflows.

Modules

A growing catalogue of automation tools, built around your needs.

Marelia's automation capabilities are organised into purpose-built modules, each covering a specific area of processing or interpretation. Modules are available independently, so you can subscribe only to those relevant to your operations, or as the Detection Bundle (SSS & SAS and MBES Interpretation) and the Full Suite.

Why Marelia

Production-proven automation, powered by Hidrocibalae.

Marelia is shaped by real offshore projects, not theoretical use cases. Its automation is developed around operational needs, validated in production and continuously improved through daily use.

Automated boulder detection on SAS data

Marelia was used to detect 10,000 boulders within a smaller SAS dataset, achieving 85% automatic detection accuracy. Targets requiring further refinement were efficiently reviewed and corrected through the QC framework, delivering a complete and validated target list with significantly reduced processing effort.

How it works

Built to fit your team and infrastructure.

Marelia runs on the platforms your team already uses, licensed by seat and managed by your organisation - so it fits into how you work, not the other way around.

Import your data, set parameters or use presets, run the tools, then review and adjust the results in the map viewer before you export. Every run is logged.

Cross-platform by design

Runs natively on both Windows and macOS, fitting into the infrastructure your team already runs - no dedicated environment required.

Desktop & web components

Processing happens in the desktop application, while the web platform gives administrators control over users, access, licences and modules, along with visibility into platform status and user activity across the organisation.

Organisation-managed access

Your organisation has full control over users, seats and registered devices, with the flexibility to grant, revoke and adjust access as teams and projects change.

Flexible seat-based licensing

Marelia can be installed on any number of computers. Each module licence includes up to three seats, the number of people running that module at the same time. More seats on request.

No processing limits

Process as much data as your projects require, with no usage-based fees, data-volume limits or additional processing charges.

Security

Your data never leaves
your environment.

Marelia processes data on your infrastructure. There is no upload step, no third-party storage and no copy of your survey data anywhere else.

Local processing

Processing runs directly on your infrastructure.

No survey-data upload

Project data is never sent to Marelia for processing, data remain within your environment.

No external processing dependency

No external or third-party services are involved in processing your project data.

Access control

Seats and devices are managed through your organisation, with role-based access.

Licensing and tool delivery

Connectivity is used for sign-in, licensing and secure tool delivery. Your survey data is never transferred.

Licensing

Try it on your data. Commit only once it proves itself.
